Live Every Moment – "anything" {Vacation Edition}

Hi friends! Happy Friday! I’ve been quiet this week because we are currently on vacation, which I didn’t really mention too much here (although, I did talk about it quite a bit on twitter). We are visiting my brother and enjoying some family time! I wanted to say hi and post so my neglected little blog didn’t grow cobwebs.

Tara at Live Every Moment is hosting a photo challenge and this week’s theme is “anything.”

We are enjoying some sun and sand, and some wild weather. Yesterday it was pretty cloudy and windy here, so we ventured inland for some fun at a local aquarium. Collin enjoyed it, loved seeing the sharks, and we all had fun.

I hope you are all having a great week!

Photo Tales Tuesday – Mexican Sunset

Happy Tuesday and welcome to the inaugural edition of Photo Tales Tuesday! If you don’t know about Photo Tales Tuesday please check it out here. If you are here to join in – Thank you! Please link up below and if you have time, visit the links of some others to read their fun photo tales!

I look forward to reading all about your photos! Here is mine:

This picture was taken in May of 2006 with a little point and shoot camera. I love this picture for a multitude of reasons, but what I think of most is the best vacation I have ever been on with my amazing husband. We weren’t married at that point (we were engaged, though) and received this trip to Mexico as a graduation gift for me, so we were just two lovebirds jet setting off on our own. It was the BEST, most relaxing, most wonderful trip and I’d give anything to be able to go somewhere and at least try to top it. We had no itinerary, we had no one else to be worried about… we just did what we wanted. And to top it off… we had gorgeous sunsets like this every night. <3

A big thank you to everyone who chooses to link up today!

Its almost time!

Tomorrow is Tuesday which means it is almost time for the very first installment of Photo Tales Tuesday! Please spread the word on Facebook and Twitter! Invite your friends, family, colleagues – anyone you think would love to link up a photo and tell us about it!

Here’s the way I see it. A picture is a single moment in time captured by the person who took it. If we look at that picture we can come up with our own interpretations, which may all be different. I want to hear the story that goes with the picture! It does not have to be a new picture, it does not have to have people in it, it does not have to be technically amazing. It just needs to mean something to YOU!

You can link your picture up Tuesday-Friday. If you link up your picture you will automatically be entered to have the opportunity to be featured here at Laugh Until You Cry the following Monday. I will share your photo and post and of course link to your blog! The next featured blog will be chosen at random by Random.org. Easy as that!

Hope to see you here! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Happy Easter Weekend!

Wow! I cannot believe it is Sunday evening and we are on the cusp of another week. I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and were able to enjoy your Easter celebrations, however you did it.

My weekend started off wet. And cold. Saturday morning I woke up to a wintery mix of snow and rain and thought to myself “of course this would happen today.” Saturday was my first 5k of 2011 and I had to run in this mess of a weather system. I was absolutely soaked by the end, and feeling quite like an icicle by the end, but I got to the finish line and that was all that mattered to me. I am looking forward to another race in June!

Today was just awesome. We woke up to the sounds of Collin yelling “Mama!” over the monitor. I went and got him then we got Brian out of bed and went down to see what the Easter Bunny brought him. He was excited to find that the very generous Easter Bunny brought him a brand new bike – his very first two wheeler! He also got some goodies in his basket that will come in handy on our vacation. I was excited for him.

We went to church, had brunch with my family, dinner with Brian’s family and we were all able to spend a lot of time outside. It was a GORGEOUS day out today, so I am very thankful for that. Sunday is usually a family day for us, but this was top notch.

Happy Easter everyone!
