Amazing.

You know what I think is pretty cool? This:

Have you been watching the NBC show “The Sing-Off”? This is NOTA, a group of a capella singers from Puerto Rico, and I just think they are pretty amazing (and kinda hot too). I can not stop listening to this song and it is constantly in my head. I’m having a hard time getting over the fact that this is ALL voices, no music, no rhythm section… that is the six of these men doing all that work. Amazing.

The finale is Monday, I can’t wait. There is another group in the finale who are actually local to me (The Beelzebubs) and they are also really good.

Thats a wrap!

Today I finally got my wrap on! I’m still not done (sigh..) but I made a huge dent and am probably more than half way there. Hooray for that, I was starting to feel a little anxious about it. I had a big closet FULL of gifts and nothing wrapped. I’d love to have more done, but we still have a bit of shopping to do, so I’m probably going to wait until that is finished at this point.

I actually had a really great day. I took the day off because I had a doctors appointment this afternoon and I was able to get some chores around the house done, a lot of wrapping done, and a bit of shopping done after my appointment. I love days when I can see and feel like I got things checked off my list.

This weekend we have a family day planned with Brian’s side, we’re going to a Christmas themed amusement park (where it is probably going to be freezing!) and then Sunday will hopefully be a lazy day. I need to come up with and maybe make some treats to make to bring in to Collin’s daycare sometime next week, and there’s a football game to watch, but that will be our excitement for the day.

I cannot believe we are a week from Christmas eve. Where has the time gone?! I feel like it was just Thanksgiving. I feel like I just wrote about respecting the Turkey and decorating the weekend after turkey day. Collin got an early Christmas gift yesterday and we let him open it instead of putting it under the tree (where Brady probably would’ve eaten it anyway…) and he was so excited to unwrap it! This made me so happy and gave me such hope for a great day next week. He is still young, so I wasn’t sure he’d get the unwrapping thing, but if this one gift is any indication of how he’s going to do, I’m thrilled and I can’t wait.

Isn’t it crazy that in two weeks and three hours (eastern time) it will be 2010?!
How are you going to say that? Twenty-ten? Will you just say it out – two thousand ten? My husband and I were talking about how we let “oh-nine” easily roll off our tongue and thought maybe we’d get funny looks if we said “oh-ten.” It feels really weird to just say “ten” though, that just won’t work (yeah… this is an actual conversation… cool, huh?).

We’re almost to Friday. I hope everyone has had a good week and finishes it off with a wonderful day tomorrow!
